General Information | Policies
The purpose of Peanut’s Pals Doggie Daycare & Boarding (“Facility”) is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment and personal attention to dogs during their stay.
To ensure the safety and health of your pet and other guests, we require all guests to comply with the following rules and regulations:
AGE: All dogs must be at least 1 year of age or older. SEX: All dogs must be spayed or neutered.
VACCINATIONS: All dogs must be up-to-date on required vaccinations and a monthly flea/tick protocol recommended by their Veterinarian. Owners must submit the Veterinary Health Form, completed by their licensed Vet providing written proof of Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella vaccinations and monthly preventatives from your veterinarian. This is to be presented to Peanut’s Pals staff at the time of the scheduled Pre-Care Evaluation. FACILITY cannot accept your dog for daycare until we have a copy of these records.
HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition, which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted. If your dog is suspected of having fleas, ticks or a communicable condition, Peanut’s Pals Doggie Daycare will put your dog in an isolated area and notify you immediately of our discovery. Veterinarian certification of health will be required to be readmitted into daycare.
REGISTRATION: All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved Registration Profile Form, Veterinary Health Form and signed Agreement, Authorization, Acknowledgment and Waiver on file to attend daycare. This paperwork is due at the scheduled Pre-Care Evaluation. If your dog has been out of the care of Peanut’s Pals Doggie Daycare for 2 months or more, a re-evaluation is required and fees will be applied.
PRE-CARE EVALUATION: All dogs must be evaluated for temperament and aggressiveness to see if they are a proper fit for the daycare setting. The pre-care evaluation process includes reviewing your application and discussing dog’s habits and behaviors. We evaluate the dog with and without the owner present to identify any changes in your dog’s behavior. We will then gradually introduce your dog to other dogs in their playgroup. This evaluation process lets us guarantee a safe environment for all of our dogs. Peanut’s Pals Doggie Daycare has the right to turn away any dogs that we feel are not a proper fit for daycare.
BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive. Owners will certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog(s). Your pet will be spending time with other dogs and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern. Your dog’s behavior will be monitored to avoid accidents. If a dog displays aggressive behavior, they will be disciplined with time-outs in an isolated area. All inappropriate behavior will be relayed to the owner. If problems persist, the dog will be asked to permanently leave the Facility.
DAYCARE FEES: Fees are based on a Pass plan for daycare. You may purchase Half-Day or Full Day Passes in 5, 10, 15, or 20-Day increments. Hourly rates are available for those only needing 3 hours or less of care. See our rate sheet for more information. Additional Dogs (siblings) receive a 50% discount off Full Day Passes. Half Day Passes and non-Pass rates are not eligible for the sibling discount. Passes expire 45 days after purchase date, with the exception of the 20-Day Pass which expires 90 days after purchase date.
DAYCARE HOURS: Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is a $5.00 charge per 15 minutes or fraction thereof for any pet left after 6:30 p.m. Late Fee must be paid at the time of pickup. Hours of operation are subject to change. Facility will inform the Owner of any and all schedule changes. If pet is not picked up by 7:00 p.m., Facility will hold them for overnight boarding, for which the Owner will be assessed a charge of $25.00 per night, in addition to any daycare charges, that must be paid before the dog can be released. Dogs not picked up after 3 days will be considered abandoned and the Facility will take the pet to a local animal shelter for adoption with another family.
OVERNIGHT CARE: Advanced reservations for boarding are required. Staff is on-site for boarders at night. Boarding rates cover 24 consecutive hours. If you are unable to pick up your dog within the 24 consecutive hour period, an additional day will be added (for example – if you drop-off your dog on Monday at 10 a.m. and pickup on Wednesday at 2 p.m., you will pay for 3 days). In addition to their food, we encourage Owners to bring anything that will make their dog’s overnight stay more comfortable, such as a blanket, special toy, bed, or crate.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES: Facility is closed for Daycare on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Boarding will be available, with drop-off/pickup before and after the date of the holiday.
FOOD AND WATER: Facility Staff will feed daycare dogs that need to eat during the time they are placed in our care, at the request of the Dog Owner. Please bring food in a clearly labeled air-tight container and we will serve the pet as instructed. If Owner fails to bring food when pet is designated to eat, we will provide a nutritious meal from the Dining Dog Café & Bakery at the expense of the Owner. Fresh water is always supplied for your dog throughout their stay with us.
TREATS: With doggie parent’s permission, we provide healthy treats twice a day for full day care, and once a day when with us for half-day care. Doggie parents can also bring their own treats to give to their pet. Please label container clearly to avoid confusion. We accept suggestions if your dog has a special treat they enjoy.
MEDICATIONS: We can administer heartworm, flea and other medication as needed, as long as Owner provides the medication along with clear instructions for proper administration.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE: If medical attention is necessary, the Facility will make all efforts to make arrangements with the Veterinarian listed on your Veterinary Health Form. If your veterinarian is not available, we will make arrangements with a nearby available Veterinarian. Peanut’s Pals Doggie Daycare and staff will always act in the best interest of the dog.Print version of our policies
